Privacy Policy
Welcome to FaceBlurify.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data on our website.
1. Data Collection
We process media you upload to provide anonymization. Data handling differs by surface:
- Images: On faceblurify.com, images are processed locally in your browser.
- Videos: Videos are processed on our servers. Original uploads are deleted after processing. Anonymized outputs are retained temporarily to support re-downloads. We also store operational metadata such as file size, duration, timestamps, effect, filenames, output URL, and job identifiers for service analytics.
Accounts and authentication
If you create or use a FaceBlurify account, we use Clerk as our authentication service provider. Email-based sign-up and sign-in remain available. On eligible pages, Clerk's Google One Tap prompt may load and be displayed automatically to signed-out visitors.
- Account and authentication data can include your email address, authentication identifiers, verification and session information, and profile information you provide or that is made available through the sign-in method.
- Google One Tap: displaying the prompt does not by itself create an account or share your Google account data with FaceBlurify or Clerk. If you choose to continue with Google, Google supplies Clerk with the information needed to identify and authenticate your account, including your email address, a unique provider account identifier, and basic profile information such as your name and profile picture.
- We and Clerk use this information to create and secure your account, authenticate you, prevent misuse, and associate account features such as credits and processing history with a stable account. Clerk processes authentication data as our service provider. Google One Tap may load or be displayed before you choose to continue; Google account data is shared with Clerk only if you choose to continue with Google.
- Account and authentication data are kept for as long as needed to provide and secure the account, subject to applicable legal obligations and the settings of the relevant service. You can contact us at [email protected] to request access, correction, or deletion; deletion may affect access to account-linked credits, history, and other account features.
2. Use of Third-Party Services
Analytics: We use cookieless Umami for basic usage insights, and—if you consent—Google Analytics with IP anonymization to monitor traffic and interaction. Google's data policies can be reviewed here.
3. Cookies and Tracking
We may use cookies to enhance user experience and for analytical purposes. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
4. Data Protection
- Security: We implement measures to protect files and metadata during processing and storage.
- Retention: Original uploads are deleted after processing. Anonymized outputs are retained temporarily for re-downloads. We do not review media contents.
5. User Rights
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us at [email protected].
6. International Users
Our website is accessible globally. Users should be aware that data protection laws may vary based on location.
